What I was reminded of was adjusting the brightness. You took it away in version 8.
I want it back. PLEEESE. I use the dark setting most of the time and overall it’s ok. The problem is I can’t see the black on black lines and drop down symbols in the options bar. If they were white like the like the letters and fonts I could see them better. If I black out the windows and turn off the lights I can manage then but I didn’t have to do all that with version 7.

      Craig,
There is a Preference in the Editor Preferences for a Light or Dark background setting.

When I open Organizer in Elements 8, my catalog of photos continues off the page at the bottom, forcing me to scroll through all my photos to get the line that tells me how many items II have in the organizer, the backup/sync icon, etc. To get that line at the bottom of each page of photos,I have to click the Organizer icon at the top left corner of the catalog and then click on “Maximize.” Is there some way to make this the default? Thanks for your help.

Good, brought to mind several items I had overlooked, like the brightness.

Have Elements 9.Have Windows 7. (1) The Appearance Options slider does not appear in the Preferences-General drop down. It starts with Display Options.

    (2) I am also unable to see the Menu options in the Organizer. Have adjusted to 100%, 96 dpi and it still doesn’t work. All I have is a very tiny black box that is next to impossible to see on the dark screen. Any help woudl be appreciated. Thanks

I likes the simple and brief overview, very useful to new users.

I have a question. Elements appears to import a capture of almost every single site and document I look at. I am sure the problem lies with Windows not Elements but it is frustrating the hell out of me.
Redirect me to anywhere that might help …………….
