Take a look at your Preferences Panel for QuickTime. There may be some video card settings that are getting in the way of videos displaying. There should be some preferences listed regarding DirectDraw. Those being turned off may help.

      Mary,

The basic concepts are the same – there’s very little new in Organizer 8.

I upgraded from Elements 5 to 8. Through these intro videos I’m finally getting a handle on the organizer. Looking forward to the rest if the vdeos.

Cannot get this or others to play, even after downloading. I get sound but no picture. Very frustrating. I tried with 11 different videos and got only three to play after downloading.

There are a couple things to check:

      1) Make sure you have the current version of QuickTime installed from http://www.apple.com/quicktime. Please make sure virus and security software are disable during the installation.
      2) If you have the current version of QuickTime, take a look at your Preferences Panel for QuickTime. There may be some video card settings that are getting in the way of videos displaying. There should be some preferences listed regarding DirectDraw. Those being turned off may help.

      Regards,

I just got Elements 8 and joined this group.
Trying to watch the tutorials but the sound volume is too low. The PC volume is at 100.

    What gives?

Was excited to get some video help, but I got the intro. sound only and that was it. Trying toget Mike’s intro video,

    All “Direct Draw” was checked.
