Are there any discounts to purchase Adobe lightroom being a member of the users group? ….Chris

Unfortunately, we don’t have any discounts that we can offer, Christopher.

This was great…I use both LR and Elements. I do have it set up to go back and forth but you clarified a few things…that I have been wondering about. Thanks…This was very informative.

Is there a way that when I save the image in Elements that it will close the program automatically and return to Lightroom or do I just have to switch back to Lightroom.

If you quit Elements, Greg, it _should_ return you to Lightroom (after asking if you want to save your work).

In checking my LR4 Settings I have set it up (Previously) to have PSE10 as the Primary external Editor as I don’t possess CS6, is this acceptable or should I make it an additional EE as you outlined it the video. Ron

That’s exactly the way it should work, Ron.

I can not get Elements 10 to stack the photos in Lightroom when I save in elements and go back to Lightroon.

Rick, I am unable to get the “Edit in” Elements link between LR4 and Elements working. This syncing link worked in LR3, but not LR4. There is a growing thread of complaints to Adobe on the LR 4 website – but Adobe has yet to provide a release to fix this problem (only an RC fix, which reportedly creates LR4 performance issues). I’ve seen some of those complaints as well, Peggy (although I haven’t run into them on either of my testing machines) — hopefully Adobe will get them wrangled up in the final 4.1 release.

The “edit in” issue/bug with LR 4 has been successfully fixed in the new LR 4.1 realease.

Not quite. The problem persits through LR version 4.2. I just upgraded to v. 4.3 and sure enough the problem is fixed. I am running Win 7 64 bit so I can’t say about either the 32 bit or Mac versions.

By the way Matt great video and part 2 as well but is there a prt 3 if so I can’t find it yet.

Just recently downloaded Lightroom 4 and find it amazing for camera RAW. This video is a great start, and I am looking forward to further videos on this subject.

Sessions one and two are great. I lead a camera club post processing SIG concentrating on Lightroom and Elements. When will session three be available? Will Elements Techniques be covering Lightroom more in the future? I attended Matt’s Lightroom class with NAPP in Houston recently. This works great with what I learned there.

I’m still looking for elements and lightroom, part 3. Has it been posted?
        Thanks

Re: Elements 10 / Lightroom 4 — same problem as many

….the issue where you can not send an image to Photoshop Elements Editor (or any other external editor) via the “Edit In” command? If so, you may want to add your name to the ever-growing list of users facing this problem at the official bug reporting/feature request site:

    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lr4_external_edi tor_failure

The problem has been acknowledged by Adobe. Also, if you read through the thread, a couple of temporary workarounds are suggested.

You can also read a lot more about it here on the forum in this thread:

Warning Nikon D800 owners ( and maybe others). PSE Camera RAW processor will NOT process the NEF format from the D800. Lightroom 4 (LR 4) does process the D800 NEF files. Currently you need to open the NEF in LR 4 and convert to tff or jpg to export to PSE. Hopefully, Adobe will update their PSE RAW processor to handle the D800 NEF files.
