Elements 10: Text on a Path, Shape or Selection

By Mike Rodriguez  ·  September 24th, 2011

The capability to add text to a path or shape has been one of the most-frequent requests from Photoshop Elements users in our forums (and elsewhere). With Version 10, Adobe adds three new tools for manipulating text on a path, shape or selection. They’re a bit tricky, and lack some core functionality (such as kerning), but for simple tasks, they can be useful.

I downloaded the 30 day trial and these videos really help me decide if I want to purchase it. So glad to see I can put the type on one side or the other of the line.

When I type on a custom path my text goes from left to right, with all words written backwards. When I click on text orientation it changes the alignment but the text is still backwards. What am I doing wrong?
