I can’t view any of the videos without first downloading. I have a brand new iMac with the latest Quicktime, but when I click on the play button I get the Quicktime logo and a question mark. Very frustrating. Same problem with my iPad.

      Roger,

Have you tried clicking on the ‘Try opening it in a new window’ link?

Thank you Bayla. Yes I have tried the new window route. That doesn’t seem to work either. Rick’s response was very encouraging, I will just have to download videos as they are released and work from there until a solution is found. Obviously the team are working on it.

      Roger,

We’re all Mac guys here, and the videos play fine on our Macs, but we see this problem from time to time. Usually, it’s an issue with Safari – if you try a browser like Firefox, the videos seem to work fine.
It’s been driving us crazy, because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, and quite a few people have said that Safari 5 seemed to fix all the problems.

We’re working on the iPad stuff – videos need to be encoded differently to work on the iPad, unfortunately. It would be great if there were a simple solution, but we’re trying to create videos for about seven different computer types and operating systems, and it’s a big challenge, especially for a small company

      best,
      Rick

    Matt,

I love your tutorials and this one especiallly! I am always looking for ways to process portrait photos to look their best.
I do have to say though, and you have probably come across this…some people will criticize and say that the colors are not correct. We spend years trying to get the “right and true” colors and now we have strayed from it. I like it, but don’t like that some will not “get it”.

I’m using a Win7 Home Premium PC, and all the videos so far have played — and downloaded — flawlessly.

However, when I tried to ascertain what version of Quick Time I have, I was asked to wait while Windows installs it. (???)

The version that I have was downloaded with an older version of iTunes, so I know I have it, but because everything is playing perfectly, I am not going to allow Windows to “upgrade” it.
