6. Open the Layer Styles drop-down menu. The new layer styles will be found in this list.

7. Select one of the new style sets from the list. The set will now be loaded and ready to use.

Examples:
Say, for example, I select AFX-plastics01 from the Layer Styles menu. The icons representing each effect in the set will appear in the palette.

To test the styles, I'll create a new document.

I'll also enter some large text in a new type layer:

With the type layer selected in the Layers Palette, I can simply click on one of the Styles in the Layer style palette and that effect is instantly applied to my type layer.
