Loading additional Layer Styles: Photoshop Elements

Layer Styles that were created on and for Adobe Photoshop can also be utilized in Adobe Photoshop Elements. Here is the procedure I follow to load custom Layer Styles into Elements.
Before I start, I should point out one thing from the very beginning. Do not load too many sets into Elements at one time, as this makes the menu for loading them extremely unmanageable to use. I will explain the point further as we travel through the process.
To load custom or additional Layer Styles into Elements 2 (PC Platform):
1. Find the Photoshop Elements 2 program directory, and then the Styles folder, on your hard drive. In my case, it is found here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\Presets\Styles\
2. In the Styles folder, create a new folder called 'Additional Styles' or some such, just to help you keep track of them and also keep them separate from the default styles. In this example I've created a folder called AFX-Styles.

3. Place your additional Layer Styles in this folder. In this case I've placed 16 additional Layer Styles sets in the new folder. once there they become available for use in Elements 2 once I restart the program.
4. Let's test it out. Start Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.
5. You will need to access the Layer Styles palette. To do this you can click on the tab in the upper right corner if the palette is docked in the palette well, or simply go to Window>Layer Styles.

By default, your Layer Styles palette will look something like this, unless you have previously seleted a different set then closed out the program.
