I can’t see the whole pic when I try to run a technique. What to do?

      Hi Charles-

When you say “run a technique” what exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to apply a keyword to an image in the Organizer?

In PSE 9 when searching using keyword tag I get photos that have nothing to do with the keyword tag I’m using. In the upper left corner there is a red circle that says non match. What is happening and how do I stop it?

    Thanks

Recently I had a Windows system crash in my PC and it had to be wiped clean and started over. I keep my PhotoShop Elements 7 on an external drive, along with all my pictures. When the tech was reloading my machine, he put PSE7 on my C drive. When we went in to see if it worked, none of the keytags were showing. I told him it was all on the external drive, but when we opened that, the only thing showing were the three pictures he had imported while in the C drive. I have thousands of pictures and all were meticulously “tagged”. Is there any way to get these back???

This was the most helpful video on organizer so far. Very easy to follow. I already knew a little about organizer so the others were easy to follow, but not as helpful as this one. Love Mike’s voice for tutorials. These videos are so easy for beginners and people who don’t know anything about the computers. It is frustrating when things go wrong cuz they jump right into computer talk, not the basics like these videos. Very good thanks

I LOVE PSE! I started with 5,upgraded to 8 and would like to upgrade again. BUT I have a huge number of pictures, papers, digital embellishments carefully organized in my organizer. It took me a veeery long time to get them transferred and organized when I switched from 5 to 8. Please tell me there is a lift and drop into place type solution for this. It took me so long because I had to re-tag every item. How do I move my tagged items easily to a new version?

      Karin,

Just make sure that you select all the photos you want to update with the correct tag/keyword info and use the File > Write Keyword Tags and Property Info to Photos. That will embed the info into the files correctly, and should stick as you move up.
