This does not work in Elements 6, correct?

This absolutely works in Elements 6, Jeffrey.
It’s a classic technique.

I am using PSE 8 and having issues with this technique. When I try to create an adjustment layer with Hue/Saturation, the layer is created, but the Hue/Saturation tool will not come up, even with CTRL U. I am able to desaturate it in the background layer, but then the black brush will just paint black.
