I had to download the movie before it would play. I’ve never been too successful with the color replacement brush – I didn’t understand the “hot spot” and how to use it. Very informative!

For some reason, this tool is ALWAYS given brief treatment. I mean like the issue of modes (color, luminosity) sampling modes etc, are given no discussion. Could anyone lead me to a detailed discussion of this tool??

Thanks for the feedback as well, Clarke. I think you’re right. These tools, along with several others, have many options that can be explored in future videos, in a more in-depth manner.

For this particular project, the target audience was those just starting out with Elements, with the goal being an introduction/overview. But in the future, I think you’re own to something.

      Thanks again,
      Mike Rodriguez

I found the tutorial very informative. I would also like to see more tutorials that are a little more indepth on some of the other features. Thanks for a great new website and a way to learn the program.

Dumb question– is there no way to stop the video and restart it at the same point? I do that all the time with other videos, but here it seems to start over… I wanted to find what they were talking about in my own PSE software before I viewed the rest. What am I missing?
A window comes up with the video but without the bottom bar I’m used to viewing so I can start and stop it…

    Thanks! Wendy, loving this site!

To stop the video just left click on the illustration. To restart at the same place, double left click.

I understand that this is just an intro. I too would be interested in seeing more detailed videos. I’d like to see something where instead of just saying this is how you would replace a color if you were going to replace a color, we’re actually shown a color being replaced in a photo where it makes sense to do so. From start to finish, touch-ups, fine-tunings and all.
