I had not used the web-site for a while and was surprised at the changes you had made, at first I was bit put out as I could not access the things the way i was used to doing, but after I managed to find my way around with some help from yourselves, I began to realise that it is far superior to the old one and whoever did the job of rearranging it all has done a wonderful job, and should be praised.. The first thing that appeals to me is the the way the basic facts of using Elements is explained and the tools and editor are shown how to be used, I think it is wonderful. I had picked up a lot from the magazine over the years, but the pure basics had never been explained and I wish to say thank you to those responsible, after all these years I am finally beginning to learn the proper way of doing things, I am surprised at just how much I did NOT know, that I should have known to begin with. Thank you again, I am very grateful and now look forward with more excitement to learning something “new”, even if i should have known it a few years ago ! Ben

Below the images on each video page is the text:

Problems viewing this video? Try opening it in a new window.

Using this option will allow lower resolution monitors to view the videos.

At first I was a little reluctant to watch Mike’s video on brushes, after all, what can I learn about brushes that I not already Know ? Boy, I’m glad I watched ! I saw something I want to learn.
Mike, this question is for you. On your “Intro to Brushes, Part 1″ from January 1st, 2010, when you pick the “grass” brush and paint over the sky, you use the two colors on the palette. How do you do that ? Thank you.

      Hi Daniel-

Sorry I’m so tardy in responding to this. It’s a bit of a challenge to monitor all the comments on the various videos.

As to the varying colors in the grass brush you’re seeing, that’s controlled by something called Hue Jitter, which can be found and adjusted in the Brush Options area. If you select the Brush tool (B) and then look in the Options Bar, you should see a little button with a paint brush on it. Clicking it will open the Brush Options menu, and there’s a slider in there that controls the Hue Jitter. The higher the percentage, the more variety you’ll have in the colors that are painted.

      Hope that helps!
      Mike

I tried to watch, and did get to for about 10 seconds. Then it quit. This website is a mystery to me.
