I’ve done this a number of times, but I’ve never used a blank layer. I usually use a duplicate layer and then adjust the opacity to refine the process. I think I’m taking less steps, but there might be some cases were going to blank layer direction might have some advantages.

Very nice video…aside from learning an excellent method to remove shine, I leaved something I did not know about the function of the darken and lighten blend modes.

There is an error in the cheat sheet that needs to be corrected. The phrase ” creat a black layer” should be “create a blank leyer” as Dave correctly says in the video.
