      Hi Jim,

The full path to the ThumbDatabase.db3 file is:
      C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0

Here is how to get there:

Click the Windows Start button in the lower left corner, then in the right panel click on Computer.

In the Computer dialog, double-click OS (C:)

Then follow this progression through the following sub-folders, scrolling down, if needed, to find the next folder (double-click to open each folder), until you get to the destination.

ProgramData (double-click on that to open it)
[Make sure you go to the ProgramData folder and not the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folders]

      Adobe (double-click to open)

      Photoshop Elements (double-click to open)

      10.0 (double-click to open)

Inside the 10.0 folder, you should see the ThumbDatabase.db3 file

Hope this gets you to the right spot. If not, please post back and I’ll try to help further.

Hi Ann… To delete a layer style, you would follow the same path shown above where you copied the style, and delete it. If your style has a matching .XML file, delete that file too. To get it so it doesn’t show up in your layer styles menu under Effects, you must also go to the path shown above where the ThumbDatabase.db3 file is located and delete that file. Then restart Elements and wait for the effects file to be rebuilt.
