Photoshop Elements doesn’t offer a direct way to apply a mask to a layer. But don’t let that stop you from using layer masks to combine and selectively edit images. Use this easy workaround for creating a ‘faux’ layer mask, and follow these practical suggestions for putting faux layer masks to work in Elements.
