Hi. I tried the tutorial, “Frame your words,” (January/February 2009) carefully following the steps, a couple of times and could not get the same results. In step 7, should we merge down right to the background layer? It didn’t appear to be that way and so I didn’t. In step 9, it says to drag the picture to cover the entire black area, but the illustration also covers the name, and so that is what I did. In step 10, I used Ctrl-G, and the program created a group. The text was at no time effected and did not take on the colours of the picture. I kept checking to be sure I hadn’t missed several steps. Are you sure this works? I do enjoy your magazine and am considering renewing, but notg if I can’t get the techniques to work.

    Yours truly,
    Brenda Murray

When I download this image, it appears as a full screen image – apparently in Quicktime.

Where do I find the correct download?

    Thanks.

I am having the same problem as Charles. I would appreciate any insight into downloading the image without purchasing the quicktime file.

    Thanks

You don’t have to pay for it – it’s a TIFF. Just download it and choose File > Open in Elements to open it.

It doesn’t give you the choice of downloading it and choosing File>Open in Elements. Only gives you Quick time choices to buy or not now.

I’m just now trying to download and get it into Elements so I can try it.
Where is the list of other free plug ins for Elements as mentioned in your March/April 2010 issue?
