I noticed that you had group folders in your layers palette. How do you make group folders in photoshop elements and what for and when. Or was this a photoshop file originally that you put into photoshop ELENMENTS to just show us the gradient effect?

I’m pretty sure that this was a Photoshop file that Matt started with.

Matt’s tips are always great. I was just trying to remember how to get light rays (Beams) and now I have it.
Thanks Matt

Nice effect. I tried it with a black and white photo. This was a great follow-up on Dianna Day’s Grasping the Gradient Tool PDF tutorial.

Matt always has excellent techniques/tips. I used this one (Enhanced Lighting Effect) when creating Christmas cards for 2011, and the results I got were dynamic. I’ve already gotten excellent feedback from recipients of the Christmas cards. The “cheat sheets” are very helpful. If possible, please continue producing them.
