Diana, thank you so much for all of these links! Some of them have exactly what I have been looking for! And I love the card that you created. Even the border around the photo looks like it has ice crystals. Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains how to do that?

Hi Joy…. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Extras…. wait until you receive your magazine! :-) The photo border is from the Content tab in the Effects palette, under Frames. It’s the ninth frame from the end, and named “White Snowflake Frame.” Thanks for your nice comments.

How can I use abr files with PSE? My pc doesn’t let me open them. What do I need?

      Hi Joyce,

In Elements Village, in this thread, in post #4, Sepiana gives steps for using abr files in Elements:

      Hope this helps.

Down load the file into the Downolad folder (easier to finde it later) and if it is zipped click on it to open it up and find the abr file. Find your PSE program on your C (hard) drive (or other drive if your hard drive is not C. Mine is conveniently in the Adobe folder, yours probably is too. If you are running Windows 7 it is in the Program Files (x86). Look in the Presets folder for Brushes.
Drag and drop the abr file to Brushes. Restart PSE.

    Hi Diana,

Quick question: how did you make your snowflakes and swirls white in colour? I’m using Elements 8 on a Mac and when I use the brush tool to put them on their layers and reduce the opacity they are just that, opaque against the background. Is there something I’m missing in order to get that dreamy look you achieved?

    Thanks!

Nevermind, I found it! I totally forgot about the colour picker – DUH!
