This is a very well done Website. I can’t say enough about it.

I love your web site except there’s not enough hours in the day for me to do all that I want. Thank you for all of your work to make my projects look professional.

Reply to comments by Lois: I totally agree ‘ not enough hours in the day to do it all’. I have only just subscribed so have a lot to catch up on, there are so many well produced projects.

I love the effect but the instructions do leave out several things. Most noticeably are the fact that the layers beyond the initial one all need to be transparent, not a duplicate. Use the ‘Create a New Layer’ and not duplicate a layer.

If you Create Stroke I would suggest a minimum of at least 8 pixels or you can’t even see it. I wanted mine a solid color so I created my ‘stroke’ and then zoomed in very tight on that empty line I had created. (It’s as if you erased a perfect line around your frame) Then I chose a foreground color that coordinated with my gradient stamp and used the paint bucket to fill in the line. Worked well.

For fun I took that same color and stamped a butterfly and a ‘swirly’ on 2 corners of the black frame. Came out well and gave me many ideas on how to use this technique once we (hubby and I) figured it out. Thanks for the tut…

Steps 3, 5, 11, and 13 instruct to create a new BLANK layer, as the screenshot of the layers palette shows at the end. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. :-)
