    Re: Nexus Font Manager/Viewer
The link going to the page appears to be OK, but if I click the “Download Button,” Norton Internet Security pops up and says the site is not safe. Here is the warning it gave me:

    uf.tistory.com
    Summary
    •Computer Threats: 1
    •Identity Threats: 0
    •Annoyance factors: 0
Total threats on this site: 1

    Threats found: 1
    Here is a complete list:
    Threat Name: Heuristic.ADH
    File name: c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ie5\ocieqgj3\searchlite__sl05[1]

Thanks, Ruth – I’ll remove the link; there are plenty of other options out there.

Removing NexusFonts from the list is a shame. I’ve tried a number of font managers and found Nexus to be one of the best font managers out there. Still better to be safe then sorry. Is there any chance that Norton’s is returning a false positive? Has anyone contacted the website owner about this? I ask because from what I’ve read of him he’s not into viruses and maybe unaware his site is infected.

    Regards,

    Steve

I use it with no adverse effects and my AVG Internet Security didn’t prevent me from downloading it, which it does do when it detects a threat. It may be a false positive.

I added the link back in. I checked a bunch of different sources, and it came across clean.

I do believe in “better safe than sorry,” but don’t want to go overboard, either.

      Thanks,
      Rick
