Diana, would you be willing to tell me what font you used for “when skies are grey” on the Sunshine example? Thank you!

Sure Michele…. it’s Albemarle Swash http://fontzone.net/?q=albemarle+swash. I thought I had included that on my font sheet. Sorry about that. So many great fonts and so little space on my sheet. :-)

I would love to see the chalkboard signs you all create. I created a Flickr Group where we can upload our images to share with other users. You need to have a Flickr account to upload.

The tutorial was terrific, what a great idea! Just one question, how do I get the white to print? Say if I want to use my creation for a program.

Thanks for your nice comment, Deborah. When you print your chalkboard creation, your printer prints the blacks and gray tones, and where there is white (chalk), no ink is laid down. So, for the text and design to look white, it must be printed on white paper.

Loved the tutorial and it worked nicely. I do have one concern, after downloading some of the font types and ribbons I started getting ADD WARE links showing up as underlined linked words in other internet pages…. the only thing I can think of is that one of the “truefont” file types had a bug…..

I know this is not you Diana, just a warning to others to be careful when down loading….

Thanks, for your nice comment on my tutorial, and the heads up, Davd.

I probably should have mentioned that some free font sites have several links on their download pages, some which lead to ads or to products other than the font, which can be misleading. You do need to be careful and watch that you are clicking the correct Download button. And at some font sites they required you to first download a download manager to get the font–I have tried to especially avoid those in my list.I haven’t seen any of this practice at all yet on DAFONT.COM.

There is one thing you can usually do to avoid the wrong download link. Hover your mouse cursor over the download button or link and you should see an address or label showing where the link leads.

As an example, here’s a link to a screenshot of a tricky one:
