I had a great time practicing on this technique, I couldn’t find the subscriber’s area for downloading brushes for the fairy. Could you tell me the particular site for the downloads. Thanks

Rick, Thank you so much for your help. I searched my computer for 2 days looking for them.

I could not do the shadows the way it’s explained (steps 10 on) – and not for the lack of trying since I’ve done several! Instead I’ve sampled a shadow part and smudged in the appropriate areas to get the
shadow effect. I surely wish I knew what I am doing wrong although my babies still came out very believably settled in the flower with my method!

    Hi Neomi ..

Which part of the creating a shadow did you have problems with ?

First thing is did you have the baby on its own layer.

Then did you then manage to regain the “marching ants” around the baby by going to the layers palette and doing Control Click (Mac: Command Click) on the baby layer to regain the selection of the baby and then filling the selection on a new layer with black to create a shadow.

Just let me know which part you had problems with and I will talk you through it.

I’m also not too sure what you mean by you have sampled a baby part and smudged it to get the shadow effect?

Step 17 will not work for me. When I look under edit, the delete button is grayed out. Beautiful technique. Just wish I could get it to work.

I wasn’t completely satisfied with the way the baby in my image looked in the flower. I used a baby photo I found on the web. Maybe I should have found a different photo, but this baby photo looked like it would work. Anyway, here’s mine: http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m539/Blanco111/Photoshop%20Elements%208/baby-and-rose.jpg
