PET site issues

By Rick LePage  ·  November 12th, 2013

Hi,

I wanted to post a quick note about three housekeeping things related to the site.

  • First, we just discovered that our Contact Us email help form was sporadically not sending emails to us. We believe that we’ve fixed the problem, so if you’ve tried to send us a note about a missing issue or another problem related to your subscription in the last couple of weeks, we apologize, and ask if you can resend it to us. (If you sent it after Sunday, Nov. 10, we’ve got it.) You can either use the form, or you can send an email to customersupport@photoshopelementsuser.com.
Our apologies on this one — it took a fair amount of sleuthing to figure out what was wrong, largely because we were getting some emails.
  • We are currently finishing up the Learn Photoshop Elements Today DVD for Photoshop Elements 12, and should have it available around Thanksgiving. We have had a few people asking about the disc; we had hoped to have it available by now, but events have just conspired against us this fall.
  • On a related note, we’ve discovered that we inadvertently mailed out some blank Learn Photoshop Elements Today 11 discs. If you received one, just send us an email at the address above, with “Blank LET disc” in the subject line and your address in the message, and we’ll send a replacement disc out immediately.

We try very hard to do right by our customers, and we apologize for the delays and the problems. Hopefully we’ve got them all figured out, and it will be smooth sailing through the rest of the year.

Sincerely,
Rick

I have not received my Nov/Dec 2014 issue. I really enjoy the magazines and your entire website. I understand you had a few problems this month and I/m afraid maybe that is where my magazine is??
Is it too late to request a copy?

    Thanks,
    BL

    Hi Rick

I have to tell you that I feel totally let down with you and the magazine. I subscribed a year ago and from the outset I have never ever received a magazine without asking for it to be sent after it failed to arrive.. I guess you must have got hacked off with me because after several emails I still have not received my September/October or November/December magazines.

My post is reliable and I am virtually certain the problem is at your end for the reasons I have given before.

I have remained polite and hopeful. Now I am getting angry.

      Hi John,

I’m not sure why no one replied. I will check on that. See your email for my response about the missing issues.

      Sincerely,
      Rick

I am a very pleased and satisfied customer for several years. My magazines always arrive on a timely fashion. I think I only missed two issues since I’ve been a subscriber. The reason behind the missing issues was the postman dropping it off who knows where. The minute I email (PET) the magazine arrived within a week. I owe everything I have learn to the magazine and the wonderful tutorials online. I have also collected almost all the DVDs. I would definitely recommend PET to anyone who would like to learn Photoshop Element, especially if you are a visual learner like myself. Thumbs up!!!!

Is there a possibility that a simple email could be sent to those of us who digitally subscribe? It would be so much more helpful to my poor memory than the hit and miss of wondering which month we’re in and did I remember to download the most recent issue?
In the dim past, when I subscribed to the paper edition, weren’t there periodic ‘editorial’ emails sent out?

    Hi,

I am missing my July/August 2013 issue… is it possible for me to still get a copy of it?
Thank you so much, I as always so excited to get each issue. It is packed full with such
interesting articles, and now that I just received my PSE 12, it will be even better!
Thanks so much for your help.

Hi. I have been a PET subscriber for a long time but have never participated in the “community” atmosphere. When I saw the latest upgrade changes to Photoshop 12, I decided that I would no longer struggle to learn Photoshop CS since my interests in photography are “Dedicated Hobbyist ” activities and not professional. I have “learned at” PSE, but not consistently. I am really a “post-processing” junkie. I want to improve my skills doing restoring and retouching, along with creating family “ePhotobooks”. After reading the exciting reviews of Elements 12 I decided to buckle down and really learn it. My interest is in using the Scott Kelby 7-Step method of post processing photos in Camera Raw. Since I didn’t know Photoshop well I did not concentrate well enough to maintain my interest, but now I’m ready. Are there any ongoing conversations that relate to post-processing around? I am now taking online classes that are helping me to understand how Elements works, but it would be nice if I could fine other hobbyists to discuss their experiences with Elements. I’m hoping this is the correct venue to ask these questions. Right now I am really enjoying my PSE 12 classes. I hope your group can put me on the correct path. Thank you.
