November “From the Editor” online

By Rick LePage  ·  October 29th, 2011

The November edition of our monthly “Letter from the Editor” was sent out yesterday via email; if you haven’t seen it yet (and it isn’t in your junk mail folder) don’t fret: it usually takes a couple of days for our email service to get copies into everyone’s Inbox.

If you have your privacy settings set so that you aren’t getting email notifications from us, or if the email looks funny in your email client, you can always view it via our “From the Editor” page on the PET site. All of the back issues of the emails are available from that page, along with a little abstract of what’s in each one.

Have a great weekend!

I understand how you feel. It’s like a writers block. I get a lot of inspiration from trolling through various photo web site’s, including element’s own gallery. It seem’s to work and I get recharged by all the ideas I see.

    Question?

Though I spend a great deal of time viewing the articles, videos, and reading the magazines, I have just recently started participating in posting photo’s in the gallery. I have a question regarding the photo challenge for each month. Does the photo for that month’s challenge have to have been taken in that month? I am assuming so, but not sure.

    Thanks

Hi Bob, I’m sorry for the late response. Yes, the photo should be taken within the challenge month. Our goal is to encourage you to get out a try some shots you might not otherwise get and to get creative. Just pulling something you’ve already done isn’t as much of a challenge. ;)

I have every issue of PSE Techniques since inception and I like to go back for ideas on how to do something. Is there and up to date index that I can refer to, rather that thumbing through each issue to find my topic?

The comment “John” has put forward Re: Updated Index, is a good one, I’ll suport that if considered.
