Brush and scrapbook articles posted
The July/August issue of the magazine should be arriving in subscriber mailboxes over the next few weeks, and it has an awesome feature by Diana Day that tells you everything you need to know about Elements’ brushes.
In addition to the article (which we’ll post on the site soon), Diana wrote up a few online extras, including “Where to Find Great Brushes Online,” and “Online Tutorials for Drawing & Painting,” which include extensive Web resources for getting — and using — brushes. These articles are available to everyone now, whether you’re a subscriber or not.
I love Diana’s Web lists: hands-down they’re the best for finding all sorts of resources for things to use with Photoshop Elements. So, if you like these two, check out the rest of the Web resource articles on the site, which are tagged as Web links. They’re well worth perusing when you’re looking for something to supercharge a project, or when you just want to play with something new.
In the Scrapbooking section of the site, there’s also a new tutorial from Wendy Williams, “Creating a Bottle Label.” This tutorial is a follow-on piece to “Making a Bottle,” which was published earlier this year.
As Wendy always says, “Remember to experiment and enjoy!”

I’ve been a subscriber since the first year, and love the magazine and the website. Although I’ve also been a subscriber to Scrapper’s Guide for the same amount of time, I rely heavily on PET, referring to both magazine and your webiste when I have a problem or question.
Recently, however, I have an issue with your movies. I was just reviewing movies, and needed to use the link to Elements 8: The New Look because the movie didn’t come up properly. The movie then came up just fine, and I was able to click on the pause button, or go back a little, when I wanted to repeat something.
When I went to the 2nd movie on the same subject, the bottom feature was missing – I couldn’t pause, back up – and more troublesome, I couldn’t turn it off! I went back to the first one, and this time the control bar was also missing. Is that PET’s problem, or mine? If it’s mine, what am I missing? I downloaded the 2 movies and hope they will have the control bar. It’s so convenient to open movies on line while browsing, I’d like to know why this problem has occured.
Thanks, Patricia
