There’s no question that photography is a big part of the Photoshop Elements community. And there’s no question that B&H Photo in New York is the single biggest camera and photo gear vendor in the world. So we’re thrilled the B&H has agreed to provide a special level of customer service and shipping just for Photoshop Elements Techniques subscribers.

As a customer myself, I wasn’t surprised to hear that B&H was recently voted number 1 in customer service for ALL Internet retailers by Consumer Reports. The other great thing is that their prices are amazingly competitive. So how can you top that?

Well, let’s start with a special toll free number just for Photoshop Elements Techniques subscribers. It’s 800-661-7594. And on top of that, they’ll give free shipping to every PET member in the continental US. While it’s true that many of their products are marked as “free shipping,” the free shipping for our subscribers is upgraded free shipping and your orders will get there even faster. And with the special 800 number, you’ll talk to a product specialist who knows all about the special deals just for our subscribers.

So if you’re in the market for ANYTHING related to photography, including computers, software, used gear, point and shoots, high end DSLRs, bags, etc. you need check out B&H and then use your special priority service order number. Now you’ve got friends at the biggest camera store on the planet!

Unfortunately B& H have high shipping costs for us here in Australia. I wrote to them recently and congratulated them on the product prices but the shipping cost outweighed these benefits. It’s ironic that globalisation and supposed free trade has resulted in the United states protecting their own market economy. We have equal parity in regard to the value of our dollar but pay much more for goods and services.

    Larry,

I agree. I’m also a subscriber to Consumer Reports and saw B&H’s number one ranking. I have also been a long time customer of B&H and agree that their prices are usually the lowest of most other places. Even when their prices are equal to another retailer, B&H often gives free shipping and either a free gift or serious reward dollars to the customer.

Probably fine for the USA but converting prices to GB Pounds comes out at £598 for a camera I’m looking at here in England at £400. Almost 50% more expensive.

Where do I get my “special priority service order number” and how do they know that I am a PET subscriber?

Frank, it’s right there in the blog post: 800-661-7594. And they’ll know you’re a PET subscriber because that number was set up for PET subscribers…they’re assuming that since you know about the number, you’re a subscriber.

It would be wonderful if these great prices (and free shipping) were available in Canada. Many other US retailers have managed to give us the free shipping.

Thank you! I’ve been looking at their site to purchase a new printer. This offer will certainly help.

This is a follow-up to relate my purchasing experiences from B & H Photo. On February 20th I called the above number. As directed by the automatic message when answered, I informed the salesman about being a PET subscriber. He didn’t know what I was talking about, but he took my order and gave me the free shipping without too much difficulty. The total for my order was just under $400. There didn’t seem to be any speed-up on processing or shipping. The order arrived on February 28th.

Today, I placed another order by calling the same number. This salesperson was really confused by my request for free shipping, he had no idea what PET was, and asked several times for a NAPP member number. He put me on hold and asked his supervisor about it who was willing to offer 1/2 price on the shipping. Finally, I convinced him that I really was qualified for a special shipping offer.

It would be much more convenient to be able to place an order online with a special code than to go through all of this.

I routinely order from B&H and I always welcome their expertise, selection and prices. I am excited about the special deals & shipping. So, well done on setting it up! Having said that, I would have preferred an online promo code instead of having to call them.

As a previous writer says it sounds a good offer for those in the USA but here in the UK, what with the price of postage and packaging items are twice as dear as in the USA thanks anyway

Called and identified myself as an elements subscriber. Asked what kind of price I could get on a Nikon lens. He quoted me the full price and said he wasn’t aware of any deals for us. Hmmm.

I agree with Anne and Greg, Canada is a friendly and close neighbor and I don’t understand why we are closed out of the special offers, considering the dollar now is at par and shipping is done on the same continent.

It is true many vendors, including those on ebay have figured out how to give Canadians some very good shipping deals, often the costs of shipping outweigh the benefits.
    Thanks for trying though.

Besides the shipping cost there are the import duties to be paid. Easier and cheaper to deal locally, Also for any returns etc. Deal locally. Even in the US it is better to deal locally, Help your neighbors keep their jobs. Help your local retailers stay in business. Get discounts by joining a local photo group for example.

What deal? There was no deal even for the purchase of Elements 11.

B&H is usually the best price available! Nobody mentioned a better price for P.E.T.

Quote above —– “B&H has agreed to provide a special level of customer service and shipping just for Photoshop Elements Techniques subscribers.”

Correction – just watched the Video and Larry does say “discount”. Free shipping could be considered a discount but most of what I order from B & H is shipped free anyway!

Called the 800 number listed above today, placed an order AND received the free shipping as promised.

Just placed an order July 10th and identified myself as a PET subscriber and was asked for a NAPP # also, told her I didn’t have one but she gave me free shipping anyway. Order to be delivered on the 12th, that’s fast!!
